Aerosmith is a popular American rock band, founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton. Aerosmith’s early career took place primarily in Boston where the band originated from. During this time, the band recorded a demo tape of blues covers and hard rock songs. In the spring of 1971, Tyler left the band to join Stray Cats due to some personality conflicts with Tom Hamilton.
