The largest 156 key Piano

The Piano is one of the most popular musical instruments in the world. There are many different ways you can play the piano, whether it be jazz, classical, blues, or pop music.

The largest piano in the world is located in Szymbark, Poland. When you visit today, you will see it displayed inside of a museum sharing all kinds of information about its history and how it was able to achieve such a magnificent feat. The concert grand piano has 156 keys but is still only 1.925 m (6 ft 3 in) high. It’s length also weighs 1 ton making it just under 6 meters long to give you an idea of its size!

Pianos usually have 88 keys. This record-breaking behemoth has 156 of them! Sadly, Daniel – a gifted wood-worker and friend of Guinness World Records – died on 3 Dec 2013.

Daniel, a gifted wood-worker and friend to Guinness World Records died on 3rd December, 2013. Sadly at just 39 years young Daniel was taken away from this world. He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep and had been in the prime of his career, creating master pieces at a world record breaking pace: since getting married in 2008 he had created over 3000 wooden pianos and guitars! Now they adorn homes around the globe and appeal to people of all ages.

Katarzyna Borek – piano, during setting the Guiness World Record in “the world’s largest piano” in Szymbark/Poland. “Giant piano called “Stolëmowi Klawér”, weighing nearly two tons and with a height of six meters – which sets the new world record for the Largest Grand Piano”!!! Names of famous Polish composers – Chopin, Moniuszko, Paderewski, Karłowicz, Szymanowski, Gorecki – are written on piano’s legs.

  1. I thought there was only a 108 note piano… now I wish they could go up to 204, kinda. Actually, 180 because note 204’s sound wouldn’t even be heard by humans
